Hamersley is a residential suburb 14 kilometres
north-northwest of the central business district of
Perth, the capital of Western Australia, and six
kilometres from the Indian Ocean.
In the 2011 Australian census the population of
Hamersley was 4,982 when there were 2,492
Females and 2,490 Males living there.
Hamersley adjoins two major arterial roads—
Mitchell Freeway to the west and Reid Highway to
the south—and is within the City of Stirling local
government area.
